Your Procedure

What can you expect during your outpatient surgery experience at Far Hills Surgical Center? Personal attention, high-quality medical care, minimal waiting, and you can usually expect to go home within a few hours.

Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, special needs, or requests. We want to make your outpatient surgery experience as pleasant as possible.

So you know what to expect, please review this important patient information:

When you arrive at Far Hills you will be greeted by one of our friendly reception staff. At that time, please sign-in. Quite soon, you will be asked to speak with one of our reception staff in our confidential registration area. Once you have been registered, a nurse will escort you into the pre-operative area where your pulse, temperature, respiration and blood pressure will be taken. You will be asked to change into a gown provided by the Surgical Center. Your clothes will be placed in a secured locker until you are ready to go home.

At Far Hills, we believe in making you as comfortable as possible. As such, you will be asked if you would like to have family with you whenever possible. However, there are some portions of both the preoperative and post-operative portions of your care where this is not ideal for your care.
